Project Manager

Fortrix Systems builds independent control and oversight software for regulated gaming and lottery. We work with complex systems and large volumes of data, for customers who have to prove their numbers rather than assert them. We are hiring a Project Manager to run the implementation of a major enterprise deployment, from contract signature through to acceptance and go-live.

What you would be working on

Owning the plan

A multi-phase implementation against a fixed go-live date, run at task level with real dependencies, float and a critical path you can defend. You maintain the schedule, you know what is actually driving the end date, and you say so early when something moves.

Running the governance

Steering and status meetings with the customer, a decision log that holds up months later, and a RAID log that is worked rather than filed. You are the primary delivery contact for the customer.

Driving acceptance

Test phases, user acceptance coordination, and the evidence each gate needs before it can be passed. Acceptance is a formal event here rather than a conversation, and you are the one who runs it.

Managing a contract, not just a project

Fixed date, fixed scope, agreed service levels, and customer-side dependencies you do not control. You handle change control and raise the dependency that has not landed before it becomes a delay.

Handing over cleanly

At go-live the account moves from implementation into service. You make that handover real: documentation, open items, known risks and the operating model.

What we are looking for

Eight to ten years managing software implementations, most of it customer-facing
Fixed-date contractual delivery, where missing the date had consequences
Integration-heavy work where progress depends on people who do not report to you
Formal acceptance, change control and governance handled as useful tools, not overhead
Experience in a regulated industry, whether gaming, lottery, financial services or healthcare. Strongly preferred. PMP or PRINCE2 is welcome, not required
You commit carefully, and what you commit to happens
Self-directed. There is no PMO here to hand you the next problem
Clear written communication. Much of this job is a status report an executive will actually read
Able to travel to customer sites as required, without restrictions
Authorised to work in Canada

Working here

Remote from anywhere in Canada, in a small team with short decision paths. You work alongside a technical lead who owns whether the system works, while you own whether it lands on time and is accepted. You are also early enough to shape how Fortrix delivers.

Compensation

Base salary of $110,000 to $130,000 CAD, plus a performance-based bonus tied to delivery and acceptance commitments.
